On behalf of the members and friends of Edensburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, welcome to our web site. We look forward to the time when we will be able to welcome you in person to one of our worship services, social gatherings, or mission projects. The information presented in this visitors section of our web site is our attempt of answering a few of the most common questions people might have regarding who we are and how you might join us in our walk together with Jesus.

We sincerely hope that you will consider joining us as we seek to serve God, to serve one another, and to serve all God's creation. A word of caution however. If you are looking for a place filled with perfect people, a place free of the hypocrisy, you have not found it here. I know of no such place. We are a church filled with sinners and hypocrites, myself included. Together we fall short of being the people God intends us to be. About this we are truthful. It is likely that should you choose to join us, you will at some point be insulted, enraged, or ignored by us. Not because of who you are, but because of who we are as a fallen people. However, even though we fall far short of the example set for us by Jesus, you are loved, and together we are made righteous in God's eyes because of God's actions through Jesus.

As our response to that gift of new life in Jesus we invite you to come and share in that gift given for all people. We are confident that the church, the entire body of Christ, will be better with you as an active part of it along with us, and that together we serve better than we are able to do alone.
